Course Outline: Basic Human Anatomy & Physiology, Quality Control in Laboratories, Clinical Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, Histopathology & Cytopathology, Immunohematlogy, Transfusion techniques & hazards.

Work Area: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) also referred to as Clinical Laboratory Science professional, Medical Technologist and Medical Laboratory Scientist. The Medical laboratory technicians perform complex tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. These professionals are responsible for supporting and assisting doctors/ scientists in their day to day working in a variety of roles. They function as the main support to biomedical scientists in pathology laboratories.

Course Outline: Operating dialysis instruments , conducting pre and post dialysis evaluation, Reprocess dialyzers, Maintenance of patient safety & quality of care, Monitoring patients clinical vitals, sterilization & disinfection procedure.

Work Area: Renal Dialysis Technicians are also referred to as Dialysis Technician, Haemodialysis Technician or Nephrology Technician. Renal Dialysis Technician operates machines and perform dialysis on patients with acute or chronic kidney failure. They work under the supervision of physicians and nurses, primarily in hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers/facilities, some nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long term care facilities. They are responsible for the operation, cleaning, and sterilisation of the dialysis machines. Dialysis Technicians give patients important medical, technical, social and emotional support and also provide vital information on patient conditions to nurses, doctors, and other medical staff.

Course Outline: Preparation & maintenance of Operation Theatre, Maintenance of Equipment support in Acute Care environment, Sterilization & Disinfection of OT instruments, Infection control policy & procedures, Preparation of patient for OT, Providing intra OT equipment & technical support, Assisting Anaesthetist in handling emergencies outside OT, Ensuring availability of medical & diagnostic supplies, Bio-medical waste disposal, Evaluation of pre & post operative care.

Work Area: Operation Theatre Technicians (OTT) prepare and maintain operating theatres and equipment, and assist surgical and anaesthetic teams during operations. They are also known as “Operation Room Technician”, or “Operating Theatre Assistants” when working in a hospital environment. Some of the key responsibilities of the Operating Theatre Technician are transport patients, preparing operating room for surgery, set up, check, connect and adjust surgical equipment, technical assistance to surgeons, clean & restock the operating room, arranging instrument, supplies and equipment according to instruction and position patients for surgery.

Course Outline: Fundamentals of Nursing, Basic first aid and emergency medical relief, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Community health nursing & hygiene, Medical & Surgical nursing, Mental health & Psychiatric nursing, Midwifery and Gynaecological nursing, Paediatric.

Nursing Work Area: The main responsibilities of a DHNM nurse is assessing & planning nursing care requirements for patients, providing pre and post operation care, monitoring and administering medication & intravenous infusion, taking patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures, writing records, supervising junior staff, organizing workloads.

Work Area:A nurse administrator has a broad and versatile range of responsibilities. The main component of their job is to supervise the nursing staff at their healthcare facility. They are responsible for large-scale policy planning, staff management, financial resource management and business management in addition to their core responsibilities of coordinating and supervising the delivery of health care.

Course Outline:Overview of emergency medical care, Baseline vital signs, advanced airway management, Patient assessment & Scene Size-up, General Pharmacology, Medical/behavioural emergencies and obstetrics/gynaecology, Trauma care, Emergencies in infants & children, Ambulance Operations.

Work Area: Emergency Medical Technicians are advanced providers of Emergency Medical Services such as administering medications, starting intravenous lines, providing advanced airway management for patients, resuscitate and support patients with significant problems such as heart attacks and traumas. Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.

Course Outline:Human Anatomy & Physiology, Radiation Physics and physics of diagnostic radiology, X-Ray film /Image processing techniques, Digital Radiography and Mammography, CT Scan techniques, MRI techniques, Angiography, Ultrasound and Colour Doppler, Radiation safety & quality control.

Work Area: A Radiology Technician works with a Radiologist to diagnose and treat patients using diagnostic imaging examinations like X-ray, CT scan, MRI scan, sonography, mammography, nuclear medicine and radiation therapy. The Radiology Technicians prepare patients and equipment for radiology procedures, performs the tests and maintain the equipment.

Work Area:Physiotherapists help people recover with injuries sustained from surgery, illness, ageing or disability. They work to diagnose the causes of injury and put together a treatment plan, something including exercise, manual therapy and electrotherapy. Physiotherapists have ample job prospects in Hospitals, Nursing homes, Residential homes, Rehabilitation centres, Private clinics, Fitness centres, Sports centres, Special schools and Senior Citizen centres etc.

Work Area:General Duty Assistant are also known as “Nursing Care Assistant” or “Nursing Assistant” when working in a hospital environment. Individual on the job provides patient care and help maintain a suitable environment. Some of the key responsibilities of the General Duty Assistant are to provide patient's daily care, patient's comfort, patient's safety and patient's health needs.

Course Outline:Medical Physics & Radiophysics, Basic Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology, Clinical Radiographic & Imaging techniques, Operating & Maintenance of X-Ray, CT, MRI, USG equipments, Quality Control in Radiology & Radiation Safety.

Work Area:Medical Radiology & Imaging Technician also referred to as Radiology Technician, Radiologic technologist or Radiological technologist. Radiology Technicians perform diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-Rays, CT and MRI scans under the guidance of a Radiologist. Radiology Technicians are responsible for preparing patients and operating equipment for the test/tests, besides keeping patient records, adjusting equipments based on patient need and test recommended and maintaining equipment.

Course Outline:Handling different emergency scenario from clinical emergency to trauma emergency to mass casualty to disaster management, infection control measures, actions in event of medical and facility emergencies, personal and characteristics of an emergency medical technician.

Work Area:Emergency Medical Technicians provide emergency medical support and care to individuals who are critically ill or injured and transport them to a medical facility within stipulated time limits. Their main role is the assessment of patient in emergency and Giving Basic Life support (BLS), Air way management, Trauma care.

Course Outline:Human anatomy & physiology, Applied pharmacology, Principles of anaesthesia, Anaesthesia machine / work-station, breathing system, Usage & maintenance of anaesthesia equipments, ventilators, suction equipment & catheters, fluids & transfusion, basic life support, preparation for regional anaesthesia and equipment required.

Work Area:The primary role of Anaesthesia Technician is to assist the anaesthetist, nurses and other members of anaesthesia care team during surgical operations. Typical duties of an Anaesthesia Technician include–recording observations, inspecting and testing calibrations and transducers, identifying malfunctioning equipment, providing assistance in preparing anaesthesia for patients, monitoring equipment during ongoing surgery process, replenishing stock, disposing supplies, replacing used parts with fresh ones.

Course Outline:Basic Human Anatomy and physiology basic understanding of Cath lab, CCU, invasive & non-invasive labs & various department pertaining to heart ailments/diagnosis/treatment, basic & advanced life support measures, ECG, EKG and holter monitoring, Transesophageal echocardiography, ICU procedures.

Work Area:Cardiac Care Technician (CCT) is a health care specialist who supports a cardiologist in diagnosing and treatment of ailments of the human heart. Cardiac care technician in the health Industry is also known as a cardio graphic technician or cardiovascular technician. Individuals in this job assist in performing invasive and non- invasive diagnostic examinations and therapeutic interventions of the heart and/ or blood vessels at the request or direction of a provider.

Work Area:Assistant Physiotherapist in the Healthcare Industry is also known as Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Assistant Physiotherapist works alongside qualified physiotherapists, assisting in the rehabilitation of patients suffering from reduced mobility. Key tasks of an Assistant Physiotherapist include setting up equipment, preparing clients for therapy and demonstrating mobility aids and exercises.

Work Area:Phlebotomy technicians are the Individuals who draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for medical testing. Demonstrate the ability to perform clinical skills essential in providing basic diagnostic services such as correctly collect, transport, receive, accept or reject and store blood /urine/stool and tissue samples, etc., update patient records; etc.

Course Outline:Types of Pharmacy Practice Area, Job history and development of pharmacology and drugs, Pharmacy laws and ethics, Roles and responsibilities of pharmacy assistant, terminology and equipments related to pharmacy, structure and function of human body, basics of pharmacology, classification of Drugs, adverse Drug reactions (ADR) and medication errors, prescription reading, dispensing of prescription managing and maintaining drug supply, maintenance of records and documentation, inventory management, accounting applied in pharmacy, high alert medication (HAM) management, handling of hazardous substances, medicine and equipment storage, emergency medical response.

Work Area:Pharmacy Assistant in the Healthcare Industry is also known as a Pharmacy Technician and Pharmaceutical Care Associate. Pharmacy Assistants work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and perform many pharmacy-related functions. They refer any questions regarding prescriptions, drug information, or health matters to a pharmacist. Technicians review prescriptions or requests for refills that they receive from patients and nurse.

Work Area:X-ray Technicians create X-ray images of parts of the human body using radiographic equipment under the guidance and supervision of Radiologist. They explain medical imaging procedure, prepare X-ray room & patient for procedure, operate & maintain X-ray machine, record radiological supplies, prepare report & document under Radiologist’s guidance.

Work Area:A Nursing Assistant provides health care for patients at home, hospitals and other facilities under the direction of a nurse or other medical professional. They assist nursing staff with different medical tasks, observe patient’s condition, help patients with activities of daily living, measure and record food and liquid in take and output and vital signs and report change to professional staff.
