Introduction

The George School of Competitive Exams, a unit of the George Telegraph Group, established in 1920, is dedicated to provide guidance and coaching of utmost quality in a scientific manner through modern teaching technique to the youth and helping them in realizing their true potential by securing good marks in different competitive exams and thereby becoming eligible in the relevant job market.

 
The Concept

George School of Competitive Exams has formed a board, which consists of educationists, psychologists, experts on general knowledge and current affairs, corporate trainers and bureaucrats from government organizations.

The panel members of this board advise on up gradation and designing of the courses.

The function of the Board of Studies is to provide us with assistance in the following areas:
Advice on the formulation of in-house syllabus.
Advice on the formulation and preparation of study materials.
Research and development of teaching techniques with the help of modern technology.
Conduct of Advanced teaching Methodology Workshops for the Faculty.
Better understanding of student psychology and their need for effective training.
 
Training

George School of Competitive Exams combines traditional values with modern technology to ensure best quality education. The George Telegraph Group's eight decades of experience in education has resulted in standardized syllabi and methodology that is structured and yet flexible enough to fulfill the demands of the changed situation.

George School of Competitive Exams aims at preparing students of all merit for the competitive exams in the world of employment by imparting to them training, theoretically and practically (mock tests mock interviews in exact atmosphere of the real exam and interviews), through various specialized team of faculty.

The Institute can boast of its highly qualified team of teachers who work relentlessly for giving students the best training possible.

It provides a congenial atmosphere and a sound infrastructure in tandem with modern methods of teaching. It is equipped with the appropriate apparatus and instruments for audio-visual aid required for successful training of its students and to make the learning process easier and enjoyable. Research and development of modern teaching techniques and conduct of advanced teaching methodology, Workshops for Faculty is a regular ongoing process in GSCE.

Personality development and grooming sessions are organized for the students so that they have an edge over others when they face interviews. In addition, it also provides various employments oriented supplementary training in English language and personality development so that on completion of their courses students are confident enough and ready for employment.

Regular Combined Course (R.C.C)

Duration: 12 months
2-3 days a week
Class duration: 1½ hours each

Smart Combined Course (SCC)

Duration: 6 months

They are the careful monitors regarding course co -ordination, routine adjustment, library, attendance, leave of absence, home work, examination schedule, transfer of branch, identity card and other matters so that students can feel at home here and under our comprehensive guidance they can crown with success within a short time.
Class
At GSCE every faculty takes scientifically effective exam oriented valuable classes. Class schedule and attendances are maintained strictly. The duration of every class is 1½ hours. As there are only limited students in a class, individual care is taken for better achievement.
Special Classes
Special classes are arranged for every forth coming examination so that the students can prepare themselves with proper care and confidence.

Home Work
GSCE provides a class oriented Home Work for every subject so that class work and home work both can help students to reach their goals. Students submit their Home Work regularly and concerned teacher helps them to clear their doubts later . Special exam Oriented Material For every forth coming exam GSCE prepares effective and suggestive study materials for the best preparation.
Interview facility
GSCE arranges effective interview facility for the candidates who cross the barrier of the written examination. We have an excellent ‘Interview Board’ headed by experienced professional, Government Officials and teachers who guide students minutely from the point of view of a critic so that students can face the actual interview board with self confidence, optimism and sagaciousness.
Class Test
A regular basis 10minutes class test is taken on the basis of the previous class so that a student can make out his/her loopholes and prepare accordingly.
Mock Test
Before every forth coming examination 4-5 indispensable mock tests are taken for better preparation.
Model Examination
We take regular basis monthly exam for the improvement of our students. In competitive examinations time management is the greatest factor and it helps in assessing the progress of individual student and to identify the areas of shortfall for taking special attention. By this GSCE builds a sense of confidence in them so that every pupil feels at home in the examination hall.

Our library is manned with personnel educated in library science for the aid of students. GSCE library is an enormous treasure house where students can quench their thirst for knowledge. GSCE has its own magazine club.

Students can get free assistance and prepare themselves with up to date periodicals, magazines, competitive exam oriented newspapers etc at a regular basis.
