It too has emerged as a leader in this specialised training.   While serving the nation, The GTTI has undertaken many social service schemes. It provides free training at the Shramik Vidyapiths run by the Union and State Governments.   The George Telegraph Sports Club, established in 1925, is affiliated to the Indian Football Association and the Cricket Association of Bengal.   Md.Salim, in his speech, also acknowledged that George Telegraph is a pioneer in technical education and hoped that the college will continue with this pioneering spirit.   GCSM is the second college of the George Telegraph group. The college will benefit from the group's established placement network as well as corporate associations that include more than 20 national and international companies.   Headquarters 21 Sector, Assam Rifles organised a Valedictory Function for the 2nd Batch of Computer Trainees at Kunjaban, Agartala, on 2nd August 2002.   To inaugurate this, we organised Career Orientation Seminars in Kohima, the capital of Nagaland and Imphal, the capital of Manipur. The Kohima programme was held on 7 August 2002 in Kohima College. The Imphal programme was held on 11 August 2002 in D. M.   The Department of Insurance Studies, which conducts courses under accreditation of Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority (IRDA), Government of India, has been recording impressive results.
