| Military Civic Action Project in Agartala |
Brigadier Satyendra Kumar, Commander, 21 Sector, Assam Rifles delivered the Welcome Address. Mr. Manish Kumar, IAS, Director, Tribal Welfare Department, Government of Tripura handed over the Certificates to the successful trainees. Mr. Gora Dutta, Vice Principal, George Telegraph, delivered the keynote address.
The Sentinels Industrial Training Institute and Computer Centre were established by Assam Rifles under the Military Civic Action Programme to provide vocational training to the underprivileged youth. The training is sponsored by the Tribal Welfare Department, Government of Tripura.
George Telegraph has been associated with this programme from its inception and currently conducts training in Automobile Technology, Welding Technology, Audio & Video Technology and Computer Application.
Captain Praveen Kumar coordinates the training on behalf of Assam Rifles while Mr. Haridas Rakshit of George Telegraph ensures that the courses are conducted according to specified training norms.
Brigadier Kumar conducted Mr. Duttaon a tour of the infrastructure and facilities.
