| George Telegraph is a pioneer in technical education |
 Satyasadhan Chakraborty, Hon'ble Minister for Higher Education inaugurated the college while Md. Salim, in his capacity as Hon'ble Minister for Technical Education, was the Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Chakraborty emphasised that the changing environment required change in the higher education system. He advised the college authorities to conduct the training keeping in mind the tremendous goodwill of George Telegraph.
Md.Salim, in his speech, also acknowledged that George Telegraph is a pioneer in technical education and hoped that the college will continue with this pioneering spirit.
Earlier, in the Introductory Speech the Director of George College, Shri Manoj Joshi, said that, "Our vision was to create an ideal environment for learning and prepare our students to become enterprise managers of the future."
GCSM is located in sylvan surroundings near the Raspunj army cantonment, a few minutes away from Thakurpukur Bazar in South Kolkata.
